Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On January 21, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received Mr. Alexander Konyuk, the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to the Republic of Armenia. Conveying His best wishes to the Ambassador for his appointment, the Pontiff of All Armenians emphasized, that warm relations and effective cooperation have been established between the Mother See and the authorities of the Republic of Belarus, as well as the Embassy. His Holiness noted that the Armenian Church and the Orthodox Church of Belarus contribute to the friendly relationships between the two nations. At the meeting, His Holiness with gratitude reflected to the attention towards the Armenian Community in Belarus and its spiritual needs, in particular, the process of allocating land for the construction of an Armenian church in Minsk.. In his turn, Mr. Alexander Konyuk confirmed, that there are strong and fraternal ties between the two countries, which should be strengthened and developed in the future. At the meeting, reference was also made on the challenges the two countries are facing.
