Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Governor of the Jeollabuk-do Province of South Korea
On July 21, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; receives Mr. Song Ha-Jin, Governor of the Jeollabuk-do Province of the Republic of South Korea; and his delegation.
The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his satisfaction for the establishment of partner relations between the two countries. His Holiness expressed his wish that the visit of the Korean delegation to Armenia will be successful, and as result, cooperation and mutual recognition will strengthen and become a new impetus for the increase in Armenian-Korean relations.
The Catholicos of All Armenians reflected on his visit to South Korea in 2013, on the occasion of the General Assembly of the World Council of Churches, and the achievements and developments in the country, then conveyed his best wishes to the people and authorities of Korea.
Governor Ha-Jin also expressed his happiness for the meeting, confirming that he is in Armenia for the first time and as a result of his visit he hopes to start great partnerships in a number of spheres. The Head of the Delegation also presented His Holiness a number of initiatives aimed at the development of the province, as well as youth programs.
During the meeting, they also spoke about the mission of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in the life of the Armenians, and the important role of the Christian faith in facing difficulties throughout history.
