Catholicos of All Armenians Receives Administrator of Diocese of Innsbruck of the Catholic Church

On April 6, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Monsignor Jakob Bürgler, Administrator of the Diocese of Innsbruck (Austria) of the Catholic Church. He was accompanied by Mr. Georg Schärmer, Director of the Caritas Innsbruck Benevolent Society.
During the meeting, His Holiness Karekin II reflected on the warm brotherly relations and close cooperation between the Armenian Apostolic and the Roman Catholic Church. His Holiness also recalled with gladness the visit of Pope Francis to Armenia.
The Catholicos of All Armenians presented to the guests the mission of the Armenian Church in the national life and spoke in detail about the extensive activities, especially the Church's various social programs.
During the meeting, they referred to the challenges facing the churches, in particular, training of clergy and the issue of restoration and protection of the sanctuaries.
The meeting was attended by Very Rev. Fr. Shahe Ananyan, Director of Ecumenical Relations of the Mother See.
