Catholicos of All Armenians Received United States Congressional Delegation

On April 17, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received the United States Congressional Delegation. They were accompanied by Deputies of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia: Mr. Hovhannes Hovhannisyan; Mrs. Gayane Abrahamyan and Mrs. Lynne Tracey, US Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Armenia.
Welcoming the visit of the US Congressmen to Armenia, the Catholicos of All Armenians reflected with satisfaction on the assistance provided by the United States to Armenia in various fields since the years of independence.
Particularly, His Holiness highlighted the efforts by the US, as an OSCE Minsk Group co-chairing country, made for the peaceful settlement of the Karabakh conflict.
During the meeting, they also spoke about the challenges and difficulties facing the country and ways to overcome them. They referred to the mission of the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church in the life of the Armenian people and in the strengthening of spiritual and moral values in the society.
