Armenian Apostolic Holy Church The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On June 20, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians received; Mrs. Lori Muncherian-Turpanjian, Paul Turpanjian, and Harry Turpanjian and their families. They are the children of benefactors Mr. and Mrs. Gerald and Patricia Turpanjian (Los Angeles, USA), who are representing them in Armenia. They were accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian, Primate of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

The Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his blessings and appreciation to the Turpanjian family, for the support provided to the spiritual-educational programs implemented by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, as well as the constant support to the activities of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America.

During the meeting, His Holiness introduced the Turpanjian Family the large-scale activities carried out by the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin in the educational and social services sector. The Catholicos of All Armenians reflected on the current challenges facing the Armenian Church, particully speaking about the reconstruction of destroyed churches; the necessity of building new churches as well as the preparation of clergy.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness stressed with appreciation that despite the numerous needs, due to the support of our faithful of Mother See worldwide, including the Turpanjian family, it becomes possible to implement many patriotic and nation-building programs and to strengthen optimism towards the future. Among these programs, the Catholicos of All Armenians spoke specifically on the extensive project of the renovation and improvement of the Harich monastery and Seminary, which is founded on the Turpanjian family benefaction.
