Catholicos of All Armenians Received the 2018 RA State Prize Laureate of Information Technology Sector

On November 29, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Dr. James Truchard, cofounder and president of the “National Instruments” Company, who was awarded the 2018 State Prize of the Republic of Armenia for the global investment in information technology sector.
During the meeting, Mr. Hovik Musaelyan, Executive Director of ‘Synopsys Armenia’, presented the guest to His Holiness, also conveying information on the programs implemented by Mr. Truchard in Armenia.
Congratulating James Truchard on the occasion of being awarded the RA state awards, the Catholicos of All Armenians wished him new achievements and productive activities for the sake of creating a prosperous and secure life of humanity.
His Holiness expressed his personal appreciation to the President of the ‘National Instruments’ for the initiatives aimed at the development of the IT sector in Armenia, which give young people new opportunities.
During the meeting, they reflected on the mission of the Armenian Apostolic Church in the life of the Armenian people, particularly they spoke about the activities of Secondary schools and Youth Centers acting under the auspices of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin today, as well as about the new educational programs.
Attending the meeting was His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See.
