Catholicos of All Armenians Received Sergeant Gevorg Dadasyan

On July 26, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Sergeant Gevorg Dadasyan, who was seriously injured during the military operations on the Artsakh-Azerbaijan (Nagorno Karabagh) line of contact in November 2016. He was accompanied by His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan, Spiritual Primate of the RA Armed Forces; and Mr. Armen Martirosyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to India.
Bishop Vrtanes presented to His Holiness the Homeland Defender, who through the initiative of the Mother See of Holy Echmiadzin and the assistance of the Church Committee of the Armenian Holy Church of Nazareth of Calcutta; will soon receive necessary treatment in India.
The Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his blessings to the brave Armenian and stressed that it is the duty of our nation, the state, and the Holy Church, to care and support as much as possible the children of the nation who were injured during service in defense of the homeland, so that they can continue living full lives.
In his Pontifical blessing and wishes for a successful recovery, His Holiness expressed gratitude that despite all kinds of losses, the brave Armenian soldiers are strong in spirit and continue to maintain optimism; and with their high spirit also inspire their comrades.
On this occasion, the Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his gratitude to the Church Committee of the Holy Church of Nazareth of Calcutta, as well as to Ambassador Martirosyan for the measures taken to arrange for treatment of the Armenian brave soldier.
His Grace Bishop Vrtanes Abrahamyan expressed his gratitude to His Holiness for the continuous support provided to the Armenian army.
