Catholicos of All Armenians received Russia’s Minister of Health 02.03.2016

On March 2, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Ms. Veronica Skvortsova; Minister of Health of the Russian Federation. She was accompanied by Mr. Armen Muradyan, Minister of Health of the Republic of Armenia. 

During the meeting His Holiness expressed his satisfaction for the warm and friendly relations between the two countries and nations, and for the expanding cooperation. 

His Holiness expressed his gratitude on the occasion of the International Ministerial Conference entitled "New Challenges of the Public Health" held in Yerevan from March 1 to 2, expressing confidence that it will enable the further expansion of cooperation between the ministries and through the exchange of the existing experiences, it will contribute to overcoming problems in the health sector.

The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his wish that with the blessings and support of the Lord, the joint efforts addressed at healthcare be prosperous, so that it will be possible to maintain and restore man’s health in a more efficient manner.

During the meeting, Ms. Veronica Skvortsova reflected on the strong historical Armenian-Russian intercultural ties and the results of her visit to Armenia. She stressed that due to such cooperations more effective approaches to solving healthcare problems are created. They also spoke about the existing challenges in the lifes of the two nations, as well as discussed the positive changes observed in the field of healthcare service provision.

Attending the meeting was His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of the Mother See.
