Catholicos of All Armenians Received President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany

On April 5, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Andreas Voßkuhle, President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany and President of the Second Senate and his delegation. They were accompanied by Mr. Hrayr Tovmasyan, Chairman of the RA Constitutional Court.
Mr. Hrayr Tovmasyan presented the cooperation between the German and Armenian Constitutional Courts to His Holiness, also highly appreciating the results recorded during the visit. He also stressed the important role of the Armenian Apostolic Church, as well as the preservation of the identity of the nation and the development of Armenian law.
Then the Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed the guests, expressing satisfaction on the development of relations between the two countries, which contribute to the deepening of the friendly ties between the Armenian and German people. In this regard, His Holiness noted with appreciation the close cooperation between the constitutional courts in the legal field.
Particularly His Holiness Karekin II referred to the present right in Europe and the RA Constitution, speaking also about common relationships.
In turn, the President of the Federal Constitutional Court of Germany and President of the Second Senate stated that the cooperation of the two countries in the legal field is the best evidence of the friendly and close relations between Armenia and Germany.
At the conclusion, the Catholicos of All Armenians wished an efficient mission to the delegation of Mr. Andreas Voßkuhle.
