Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America 25.06.2018

On June 23, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received pilgrims from the St. Sarkis Church in Santa-Clarita of the Western Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. They were led by Rev. Fr. Serovbe Alanjyan, spiritual pastor of the Church.

Father Serovbe presented the pilgrims to His Holiness, and reflected on parish life, as well as shared impressions of his visit to Armenia.

The Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his blessings and appreciation to the spiritual pastor for organizing such an initiative. His Holiness noted that the pilgrimage will give an opportunity to the faithful of St. Sarkis Church to be inspired by the Homeland and to get strengthened through the faith and culture of their ancestors.

His Holiness noted that in the conditions of the homeland's independence, today, the Armenian Apostolic Holy Church is experiencing a revival and restores the divine mission in various areas. His Holiness confirmed that thanks to the devout service of the Armenian clergy, the spiritual life of the people brightens with many beneficial accomplishments.

His Holiness also conveyed his appreciation to the pilgrims, that being descendants of the Armenian Genocide survivors and Armenians settled in the United States, they were able to preserve their native language and to create national life.
