Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims from the US
On July 21, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme
Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received pilgrims of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America. They were accompanied by Rev. Fr. Tadeos Barseghyan, spiritual pastor of the St. Sahak Church in Minnesota.
Conveying his blessings to the pilgrims, His Holiness contended that the visit to the Homeland and the spiritual center of all Armenians is an occasion to renew their covenant, to learn about the sacred sanctuaries, as well as strengthen the ties with the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin and the Homeland.
His Holiness noted his great appreciation for the national spirit and loyalty of the Armenian people towards their native land and rich national heritage.
During the meeting, the Armenian Pontiff also answered questions from the pilgrims, which related to church life, the situation in Armenia and the peaceful settlement of the conflict in Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh).
