Catholicos of All Armenians Received Pilgrims from Ararat Region
On 05 November, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received a group of pilgrims from the communities of Ararat, Artashat and Vedi of Ararat region. They were accompanied by Rev. Fr. Markos Mangasaryan, Head of the Social Services Office of the Mother See and led by Fr. Tatul Gasparyan, Spiritual pastor of St. Hovhannes the Evangelist church of Artashat, Fr. Davit Sahakyan, Spiritual pastor of St. Hakob Church of Ararat and Fr. Hovakim Harutyunyan, Spiritual pastor of the Holy Mother of God church of Vedi.
The pilgrims visited the Mother See to congratulate the Catholicos of All Armenians on the occasion of the 20 th anniversary of His enthronement and receive the blessings of His Holiness.
The meeting began with the Lord's Prayer, after which the Rev. fathers, asking for the blessing of His Holiness, presented the pilgrims of their communities.
His Holiness conveying his blessings to the pilgrims, exhorted them to remain faithful to the traditional family values, preserve national-spiritual traditions with zeal, and to be strengthened by Holy Etchmiadzin.
The Armenian Pontiff noted that the church is powerful due to its faithful, their involvement in church life, a vivid testimony of which are the pilgrimages being made to the Mother See.
His Holiness also urged the faithful to live according to the gospel commandments, to strengthen ancestral sacred faith in good deeds, to live their Christian life with divine love, in order to prevent unacceptable phenomenas in public life.
At the conclusion the Catholicos of All Armenians wished the pilgrims to be strong and enduring in love under the blessing of God.
