Catholicos of All Armenians Received Chairman of the State Committee for Water Resources

On July 7, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Mr. Arsen Harutyunyan, Chairman of the State Water Committee of the RA Ministry of Energy Infrastructure and Natural Resources.
During the meeting, they spoke about the Committee's functions, particularly on the national water program and the use of water resources.
In response to a request by His Holiness, the Chairman of the State Committee for Water Economy reported on the works being carried out in order to increase the efficiency of water supply systems, as well as distribution of water resources in rural communities under the threat of drought.
Becoming acquainted with the issues, the Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed the steps being taken by the organization to overcome them. His Holiness also conveyed his appreciation and blessing to Mr. Arsen Harutyunyan, underlining the importance of the sector entrusted to him, for the development and progress of the Homeland.
The meeting was attended by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Director of the Administrative Department of Mother See.
