Catholicos of All Armenians Makes Ecumenical Visit to Finland
On March 18, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; departed for the Republic of Finland for a four-day ecumenical visit, upon the invitation of Archbishop Kari Mäkinen, Archbishop of Finland and Turku and Head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Finland; and Archbishop Leo of Karelia and All Finland and Head of the Orthodox Church of Finland.
During the visit, His Holiness is accompanied by His Grace Bishop Gevork Saroyan, Dean of the Spiritual and Educational Institutions of the Mother See; Very Rev. Fr. Shahe Ananyan, Director of the Ecumenical Relations Department of the Mother See; Rev. Fr. Tiran Petrosyan, Pontifical Legate of Central European and Scandinavian Countries; Rev. Fr. Garegin Hambardzumyan, Dean of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary and Rev. Fr. Aghan Yernjakyan, staff-bearer of His Holiness.
