Catholicos of All Armenians Hosted the Teachers and Graduates of Nakashian Children's Home 05.03.2021

On March 05, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the teachers and graduates of the Nakashian Children's Home operating under the auspices of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Asking for the Blessings of the Pontiff of All Armenians; the Director of the Center Mr. Mihran Mirijanyan, introduced the pedagogues and informed, that the graduates of the Center who are waiting for the joy of motherhood, are also present at the meeting with the Armenian Pontiff. The Director also informed about the organizational works of the upbringing and educational process and students’ care in the center. Mrs. Nune Geghamyan, Deputy Director of the Center, also delivered a speech. Referring to the vision of the future of the Center, she noted, that the Center has gained a lot of experience over the years and achieved a reputation of a reliable partner in the field of special care through its activities, due to which, today, it effectively cooperates with relevant state structures and non-governmental organizations. Then, the Pontiff of All Armenians conveyed His greetings and Pontifical Blessings to the attendees. His Holiness expressed his joy that the graduates expecting children are present at the meeting, wishing the permanent presence of the most caring Holy Right Hand of God in their lives. The Catholicos of All Armenians expressed his special gratitude to the Director of the Center, for his ten years of dedicated service, and to the pedagogues, for their zealous work aimed at supporting behavioral issues and children in need of care. His Holiness, recalling his regular visits to the Center and the meetings with children and teenagers; emphasized the importance and the usefulness of the mission of the Center within the general scope of the social services of the Church. The patriarch emphasized that the staff of the center continues to keep in touch with the graduates and provide them with the necessary care. The Pontiff of All Armenians and those present shared their memories related to the Center, making a special reference to the further lives of the graduates of the Center. Today the Center takes care of 18 students, and the number of the graduates is 20.
