Catholicos of All Armenians Hosted Newly Ordained Priests
On March 17, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the three newly ordained priests who have received the degree of priesthood on February 4 and who completed their traditional 40-day seclusion period of fasting in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. They were accompanied by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See.
His Holiness, conveying his paternal blessings to the priests, urged them to carry out their service according to the evangelical delegates and messages, to be guided by the example of our holy fathers.
The Armenian Patriarch also highlighted that the newly ordained fathers will face many difficulties and challenges in their service, but through their faith in God, strong faith, dedicated service, prudence and patience, they will be able to overcome them, making the spiritual service in the life of the mother church effective.
At the conclusion, His Holiness Karekin II, commanded the newly ordained priests to be unwavering and steadfast in their vocation, to serve the flock of believers with hope, faith, love and dedication.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness blessed the newly ordained Priests with the “Protector” Prayer, and gifted to each of them a hand cross and a communion holder.
