Catholicos of All Armenians Hosted Newly Ordained Priests
On June 16, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the seven newly ordained priests who have received the degree of priesthood the same day in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Church in Yerevan. They were accompanied by His Grace Bishop Mesrop Parsamyan, Primate of the Eastern Diocese of the Armenian Church of North America and Rev. Fr. Archimandrite Harutyun Kirakosyan, the acting Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. Asking for the Paternal blessings of the Armenian Patriarch, Bishop Mesrop introduced the newly ordained priests.
The Catholicos of All Armenians, conveying his blessings to the churchmen, emphasized that the mission of the Church is successful thanks to the dedicated clergy and commanded the newly ordained priests to carry out their service to the church in a selfless and self-sacrificing manner.
His Holiness also urged the newly ordained clergy not to give up in when facing difficulties and trials, to dedicate themselves to their service, to educate and nurture Armenians, to instill in them faith in God, love for their homeland and the Holy Church.
During the meeting, the newly ordained priests also expressed their gratitude to His Holiness, promising to justify the hopes of the Armenian Patriarch and to serve the Heavenly Lord and the Armenian people unconditionally.
