Catholicos of All Armenians Conveyed his Blessings to the Students of the RA Police Educational Complex

On March 8, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted students at the RA Police Educational Complex. They were led by Major-General Moushegh Babayan, Head of the RA Police Educational Complex and Colonel Vardges Nersisyan, Head of the College. The students of the Educational complex were accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Arakel Karamyan, Primate of the Diocese of Kotayk and Police of the Republic of Armenia and Rev. Fr. Vrtanes Baghumyan, Assistant to the Spiritual Leader of the Armenian Police.
Archbishop Arakel, presenting the purpose of the visit to Holy Etchmiadzin, as well as the activities carried out by the spiritual leadership in the Educational complex, asked for the blessings of His Holiness and his message to the youth.
In turn, Major-General Moushegh Babayan expressed his gratitude to His Holiness for the acceptance and blessings, stressing the importance of such visits and contact with the Catholicos of All Armenians. The administration of the Educational complex stressed with satisfaction the beneficial influence of the clergymen regularly visiting the institution, through which the future defenders have an opportunity to communicate with the history of the Armenian Church, faith, spiritual heritage and value system. The RA Police Chaplaincy was established in 2012, with the blessing of His Holiness Karekin II.
Then, the Catholicos of All Armenians welcomed the students of the RA Police Academy and the College, expressing joy on the occasion of their visit to the Mother See.
His Holiness highlighted the mission of the Police in the protection of law in the public life, stressing that the safe and prosperous life of the country is also conditioned through the impartial and conscientious service of a policeman. In that sense, His Holiness noted that thanks to the work of the police, lawfulness should be firmly marked in the minds of our people. In the difficult service of the Police, the Armenian Pontiff emphasized the importance of the factor of love that should be manifested to another person.
During the meeting, His Holiness expressed his appreciation to Archbishop Arakel and the clergy for the displayed consistent spiritual care towards the school students.
On the occasion of the Women's Day, the Catholicos of All Armenians extended his congratulations to all the girl students. His Holiness referred to the image, role and mission of the Armenian woman in the life of our people and noted that the present and future of the nation are shaped in the hands of the Armenian woman for the Armenian mothers are educating the children.
At the conclusion, His Holiness asked God's support and the guidance of the Holy spirit for the students and their responsibles in their public mission.
