Catholicos of All Armenians Conveyed His Blessings and Best Wishes to the Newly Ordained Deacons
On October 25, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; hosted the 25 seminarians from the 6th level of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary been ordained into the Diaconate on October 10, in the St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral of Yerevan; accompanied by His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Grand Sacristan of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, and Very Rev. Fr. Proto-Archimandrite Shahe Ananyan, Dean of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary.
During the meeting, His Grace Bishop Moushegh introduced the newly ordained deacons to His Holiness, assuring that each of them fully realizes the importance and mission of his service.
Then, the Catholicos of All Armenians conveyed his Blessings and best wishes to the seminarians, congratulating them on their ordination as deacons. His Holiness urged the newly ordained deacons to always be faithful to their covenant, perform devotional service everywhere and at all times in the Armenian Church, manifest the zeal and spirit of sacrifice of St. Stephen the Proto-Deacon in various situations of life.
The Armenian Pontiff urged the seminary deacons to increase the honor and fame of the Armenian Church and the Homeland with their behavior and devoted service, following the example of the devotion and high consciousness of self-sacrifice of the clergy who performed unparalleled service during the 44-day War of Artsakh.
In turn, Very Rev. Fr. Proto-Archimandrite Shahe Ananyan, Dean of the Gevorkian Theological Seminary, expressed gratitude to the Pontiff of All Armenians for his Pontifical care and attention to the higher spiritual Institution.
In the conclusion, the Armenian Pontiff blessed the students with the “Protector” Prayer, giving them Breviaries.
