Catholicos of All Armenians Congratulates Re-Elected Artsakh President Mr. Bako Sahakyan

On July 19, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a letter of congratulations to Mr. Bako Sahakyan, newly elected President of the Artsakh Republic (Nagorno-Karabakh).
“Starting in the years of the heroic Artsakh war, you have made important contributions to the defense of Artsakh and the strengthening of independent statehood, serving in military-political positions. During the past ten years, as President of the Artsakh Republic, you have given your efforts for the benefit of the progress and strengthening of the political, cultural and economic life of Armenians of Artsakh.
We are pleased that following the constitutional amendments of the Republic of Artsakh, our people in Artsakh, on behalf of the National Assembly of the country, have again entrusted you the responsible mission to govern the state in the coming years, greatly appreciating your patriotism, skills and abilities, and rich experience.
Dear Mr. President, at the Holy Altar we pray to God Almighty that the Lord support your mission and grant significant new achievements for the sake of peace in Artsakh and a secure and prosperous life for our people”, stated the message of His Holiness.
His Holiness also asked for God’s blessings and protection for the freedom-loving people of Artsakh.
