Catholicos of All Armenians Congratulates Newly Elected Prime Minister

On April 17, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a congratulatory message to Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, on the occasion of his election as Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The congratulatory message states in part: “Today the National Assembly chose you as Prime Minister with confidence that with your many years of experience and new management you will continue your efforts to ensure the progress and prosperity of our people's life, maintaining peace and stability in our homeland and protecting national interests on the international stage.
Our country and people are still facing security threats on the borders, the need for the settlement of the conflict in Karabakh, as well as various difficulties and problems in the life of civil society. At this crucial period, as Prime Minister of our country, once again you have assumed the responsibility with commitment, for the sake of overcoming the challenges facing our homeland and implementing our national aspirations”.
His Holiness wished the that Almighty support the Prime Minister and grant him new achievements in his activities.
