Catholicos of All Armenians Congratulated Newly Elected Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan

On May 8, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; sent a letter of congratulations Mr. Nikol Pashinyan on his election as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia.
The congratulatory message states in part: “From the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin we convey our blessings and congratulations on being elected as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia by the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia.
You are called to this responsible position under the conditions of a complex internal political situation in the country, with broad public support and as a result of extensive political consultations.
We are hopeful that through zealous and consistent efforts, you shall contribute to the stability in the country and solve the problems facing our people, for the sake of the strengthening and progress of our Homeland”.
Wishing successes to the newly elected Prime Minister, through the implementation of his patriotic and pro-national programs and initiatives, His Holiness asked the Heavenly Lord to keep the country and the faithful people in peace and prosperity.
