Catholicos of All Armenians Congratulated Female Employees of the Mother See on the Feast of Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary
On April 7, the Feast of Annunciation of the Holy Virgin Mary, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; met with roughly 160 female employees who are working in different structures and departments of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. The meeting was held in the Vatche and Tamar Manoukian Library.
Following opening remarks from His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Operations Director of the Mother See, the Catholicos of All Armenians offered his fatherly blessings and best wishes to all the women on the beautiful feast of Annunciation.
His Holiness highly praised the important role and mission of women in the life of the Armenian people, and referred to the devoted, Christ-loving and patriotic spirit of the Armenian woman.
“The Holy Virgin Mary has been a great example for our Mothers, and they have always tried to follow the character and image of the Virgin Mary. Glory to God that we have Armenian women, mothers, and sisters with similar qualities and merit, endowed with such spirit and character”, stated His Holiness.
The Catholicos of All Armenians also stressed the importance of the role of the Armenian woman in strengthening the family, noting that a woman is called to the highest service as she is granted maternity by God. His Holiness advised that during the challenging present conditions, women should overcome trials through courage and reliance on God, be an inspiration for their spouses and children, so that they will always have a view of a bright future of their Homeland.
Speaking about their useful and dedicated service in the life of the church, Catholicos Karekin II urged: “Always keep faith strong in your soul: faith is a miraculous power and strength, faith is the source of
happiness, that will always accompany you. Through this faith, you have to nourish and educate your children and live each day and second of your life…”.
At the end of the meeting, His Holiness wished the female employees God's abundant blessings and graces, once again expressing gratitude for their service.
