Catholicos of All Armenians Blessed Very Rev. Zakaria Baghumian – Newly Ranked Senior Archimandrite

On March 26, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received Very Rev. Fr. Zakaria Baghumian, member of the Brotherhood of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin. He was accompanied by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan, Director of the External Relations and Protocol Department of Mother See. On March 19, Fr. Zakaria received the 10 ranks of Senior Archmindrate by His Eminence Archbishop Nathan Hovhannisyan in the St. Mesrop Mashtots Church of Oshakan.
Presenting Fr. Zakaria, Archbishop Nathan reflected on the importance of the work for his doctoral degree, then asked for the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II.
The Catholicos of All Armenians stated with joy that today the Armenian Church is strengthened by a new generation of intelligent clergymen, who following example of their church fathers, continue to spread the word of God, zealous in their preservation of the orthodox religion.
His Holiness congratulated Very Rev. Zakaria Baghumian and urged him to serve the Armenian Church with more diligence and dedication.
On this occasion, His Holiness granted Fr. Zakaria the right to wear a Pectoral Cross.
