Catholicos of All Armenians Awarded "Golden Medal" of the International Academy of Literary Documentation
On July 25, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; received a delegation from the International Academy of Literature Documentation. They were led by Mr. Valery Narinyan, President of the Academy. The purpose of the visit was to give His Holiness the “Golden Medal” granted to the Armenian Pontiff by a decision of the Presidency of the International Literature Academy
“Your Holiness, you are a prominent figure in the Christian movement. We highly appreciate your contribution to the strengthening of Armenian-Russian relations. It is a testimony to the brotherhood of the Russian and Armenian people, that is based on the same Christian values”, stated the Academy President, granting His Holiness the Academy Award.
Expressing gratitude for the award, His Holiness conveyed his blessings to the delegation members.
The Catholicos of All Armenians highly praised the activities of the organization, aimed at spreading spiritual and humanitarian values. The Armenian Pontiff also reflected on the works published by the academy on the Armenian Genocide, underlining the importance of like publications in the prevention of such crimes.
Catholicos Karekin II wished Academy President Narinyan and the members of the Academy God's guidance in their good and useful initiatives and fruitful activity.
Attending the meeting were His Grace Bishop Arshak Khachatryan, Chancellor of Mother See and His Grace Bishop Moushegh Babayan, Director of the Administrative Department of Mother See.
