Brotherhood Members of the Mother See Attend Mkhitar and the Mkhitarians International Conference

With the blessings of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; and at the invitation of Archbishop Boghos Lévon Zékiyan, Papal Nuncio to the Mekhitarist Order, Very Rev. Fr. Shahe Ananyan, Director of the Ecumenical Department of the Mother See and Very Rev. Fr. Zakaria Baghumyan, Director of the Church Assembly Office of the Mother See; left for Venice on May 3, to participate in the international conference: Mkhitar and the Mkhitarians: Christian Enlightenment Seminary. The conference is being held from May 4 to 6 on the Island of St. Lazarus.
Fr. Shahe will present a report on “Armenian translations as a cultural phenomenon of the European Catholic theological tradition of the Mkhitarian Fathers; and Fr. Zakaria will present a report on “Fr. Michael Chamchyan as Advocate of the Armenian Church's sacred tradition”.
