Azerbaijani servicemen fired in the direction of the Charektar Monastery

Today, on September 27, a video was shared on the "X" social website, in which two Azerbaijani soldiers shoot at the Charektar monastery built in the 13th century.
The Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin strongly condemns the policy adopted by Azerbaijan aimed at destroying the Armenian religious and cultural heritage of Artsakh. These and other similar actions show that Azerbaijan will continue its adopted policy in every possible way to destroy and eliminate the Armenian identity in Artsakh.
In this context, the talks about the peaceful coexistence of Armenians and Azerbaijanis in Artsakh become even more unrealistic. We draw the attention of all international structures involved in the preservation of cultural heritage to the incident and demand that a proper response and evaluation be given to the incident in order to prevent similar cultural destruction incidents in the future.
