Armenian Pontiff Receives Ambassador of Georgia

On February 15th, in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians; held a final meeting with Mr. Tengiz Sharmanashvili, outgoing Ambassador, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Republic of Armenia.
During the meeting, they reflected on the cooperation formed between the two countries at various government levels, and as well as the centuries-old ties between the Armenian and Georgian peoples. They also spoke on the relations between the Armenian and Georgian Churches and the current issues in the spiritual-ecclesiastical life of Georgian-Armenians.
At the conclusion of the meeting, His Holiness wished the Ambassador success in his future service, and expressed hope that he will continue to bring his support to the strengthening of the Armenian-Georgian relations.
