Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople Visits Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

On March 08, His Beatitude Archbishop Sahak Mashalian, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, arrived at the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.
On this occasion, the clergy of the Mother See welcomed the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople in a procession to the Christ-built Mother Cathedral, where the solemn ceremony Hrashapar was held before the Descent of the Holy Altar.
On behalf of the clergy, Rev. Fаther T. Harutyun Kirakosyan, Acting Grand Sacristan of the Mother See, welcomed the Patriarch with greetings and best wishes.
Then, the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople, offering gratitude to God for the opportunity to once again visit the spiritual center of the Armenians, conveyed his blessings and best wishes to the Congregation of Holy Etchmiadzin. This was followed by a private conversation between His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, and the Armenian Patriarch of Constantinople at the Patriarchal Residence.
His Beatitude Patriarch Sahak will participate in the meeting of the Supreme Spiritual Council to be convened at the Mother See in the coming days.
