Was born on June 26, 1980, in the village Sasounik, Ashtarak. Baptismal name is Hovnan.

From 1987 to 1997 - Secondary school named after Gevorg Chaush. Gymnasium named after Mkhitar Sebastatsi of Ashtarak.

From 1995 to 2000 - Jharankavoratz Seminary of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

From 2004 to 2009 - Departments of Sociology of Education and Social Anthropology, Hebrew University of Jerusalem.

From 2010 to 2013 - Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Department of Education Management.

From 2013 to 2015 - Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Department of International Relations.

 

  • Ecclesiastical titles and ordinations

 

In 2000 - Ordained to the diaconate.

In 2003 - Ordained as a celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Torkom Manookian, Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem.

In 2010 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Nourhan Manookian.

In 2023 - Rank of Senior Archimandrite by Eminence Archbishop Nourhan Manookian, Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem.

In 2023 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

In 2005 - Secretary of the Armenian Patriarch of Jerusalem, Archbishop Torkom Manoukian.

From 2008 to 2023 - Lecturer in the Semianry (Sociology, History of the Armenian Church and Jerusalem).

In 2009 - Dean of the St. Hakobiants Printing House.

In 2012 - Vice Dean of the Manor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.

In 2014 - Member of the Board of Directors.

In 2015 - Secretary of the Holy Places.

From 2016 to 2023 - Chancellor of the Mother See and Head of Inter-Church Relations.

In 2018 - Representative of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem in the World Council of Churches.

In 2019 - Representative of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem in the Palestine Bible Society.

In 2023 - Dean of the manor of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
