Was born in 1971, in Etchmiadzin. Baptismal name is Andranik.

From 1979 to 1980 - N 11 Vahan Rshtuni School in Etchmiadzin.

From 1989 to 1994 - Gevorkian Theological Seminary.

From 1994 to 1998 - Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan,

From 1998 to 2000 - Halle, Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, and church music at the Halle Protestant College.

From 2000 to 2002 - Martin Luther University in Halle, faculty of law, state-ecclesiastical law.

From 2002 to 2004 - "Church Canon Law" at the Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms University.

In 2010 - Academic title of associate professor.

In 2016 - Scientific degree of doctor of historical sciences.

In 2017 - Academic title of professor.

 

  • Ecclesiastical titles and ordination

 

In 1993 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence ARchbishop Hoosik Santourian.

In 1995 - Ordained as a Celibate priest by His Grace Bishop Asoghik Aristakesian.

In 2001 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Kchoyan. Thesis: “Komitas and the Armenian Church”.

In 2006 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

 

  • Tenure

 

From 1994 to 1998 - Instructor of liturgical music at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary.

In 1995 - Assistant of the Grand Sacristan of the Mother Cathedral.

Since 2004 - Dean of St. Gregory the Illuminator Mother Cathedral of Yerevan.

Since 2005 - Dean of the Theological Faculty of Yerevan State University.
