Was born on November 4, 1972, in the village of Tatev, Syunik Region of Armenia. Baptismal name is Garoun.
From 1979 to 1989 - Secondary school in Tatev.
From 1989 to 1995 - Gevorkian Theological Seminary.
- Ecclesiastical titles and ordination
In 1995 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Grace Bishop Anania Arabajian.
In 1996 - Ordained as a Celibate Priest by His Eminence Archbishop Shahe Ajemian.
In 2002 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Mikael Ajapahian. Thesis: "The Prodigal Son’s Embodiment in Armenian Literature".
In 2006 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

From 1995 to 1996 - In charge of the Manuscript Depository of the Mother See.
From 1996 to 2001 - Head of the office of the Committee for the 1700th anniversary of the proclamation of Christianity as the State Religion
From 2002 to 2004 - Vicar General of the Armenian Diocese of Egypt.
From 2004 to 2005 - Locum Tenens of the Armenian Diocese of Egypt.
Since 2005 - Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Egypt.
