Was born on September 20, 1963, in Abadan, Iran. Baptismal name is Robert.

From 1970 to 1980 - N6 Secondary school in Etchmiadzin.

From 1970 to 1985 - Gevorkian Theological Seminary.

 

  • Ecclesiastical titles and ordination

 

In 1985 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Hoosik Santourian.   

In 1987 - Ordained as a Celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian

In 1991 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Hovnan Derderian. (Thesis: “The Bulgarian Orthodox Church”.

In 2001 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

In 2019 - Rank of Archbishop by the Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

 

  • Tenure

 

From 1986 to 1987 - Secretariat of the Pontifical Administration.

From 1987 to 1988 - Assistant to the Vicar General of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese.

From 1988 to 1989 - Armenian Diocese of Bulgaria, spiritual pastor of Holy Mother of God Church in Sofia.

From 1989 to 1999 - Spiritual Pastor of St. Sarkis Church in Varna.

From 1999 to 2000 - Assistant to the Vicar General of the Araratian Pontifical Diocese.

From 2000 to 2001 - Locum Tenens in the Diocese of Gegharqunik.

Since 2001 - Primate of the Diocese of Armavir
