- General Information
Was born on October 30, 1959, in the village of Voskehat of Etchmiadzin. Baptismal name is Mkrtich.
From 1966 to 1976 - Secondary school in Voskehat.
From 1978 to 1980 - Served in the Soviet Army.
From 1980 to 1984 - Gevorkian Theological Seminary.
From 1986 to 1988 - Theological Academy in St. Petersburg.
- Ecclesiastical titles and ordination
In 1983 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian.
In 1985 - Ordained as a Celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Nerses Pozapalian.
In 2001 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Navasard Ktchoyan. Thesis: “The History of the Armenian Community of St. Petersburg”.
In 2001 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
In 2013 - Rank of Archbishop by the Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.

From 1984 to 1986 - Lecturer at the Gevorkian Theological Seminary. (“Introduction to the Old Testament”).
In 1988 - Spiritual pastor of the St. Harutyun Church in St. Petersburg.
From 2000 to 2001 - Acting Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhichevan.
Since 2001 - Primate of the Armenian Diocese of Russia and New Nakhijevan and the Pontifical Legate of the Armenian Church to the Russian Orthodox Patriarchate of Moscow and All Russia.
Since 2007 - Member of the Supreme Spiritual Council.
