Was born in 1939, in Beirut, Lebanon. Baptismal name is Harutyun.
Primary education in Abgaryan school in Beirut.
From 1952 to 1956 - Theological Seminary of the Catholicosate of the Great House of Cilicia.
From 1957 to 1960 - Seminary of the Armenian Patriarchate of Jerusalem.
From 1964 to 1968 - USA Syracuse University (Economics, Philosophy and Sociology).

In 1959 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Souren Kempajian.
In 1960 - Ordained as a Celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Souren Kembajian.
In 1967 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Torkom Manoogian.
In 1975 - Rank of Senior Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Torkom Manoogian.
In 2000 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
In 2013 - Rank of Archbishop by the Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin II, Catholicos of All Armenians.
