Was born in 1951, in Aleppo, Syria. Baptismal name is Manuk.

From 1956 to 1963 - National Seminary of Qamishli, Syria.

From 1963 to 1968 -  St. James Theological Seminary in Jerusalem.

From 1982 to 1987 - Kennedy University in Buenos Aires.

 

  • Ecclesiastical titles and ordination

 

In 1968 - Ordained to the Diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Yegishe Derderian.

In 1971 - Ordained as a Celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Yegishe Derderian.

In 1975 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Yegishe Derderian.

In 1990 - Rank of Senior Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Torkom Manookian.

In 1990 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Vasken I, Catholicos of All Armenians.

In 1996 -  Rank of Archbishop by the Pontifical Encyclical of His Holiness Karekin I.

 

  • Tenure


From 1975 to 1990 - Spiritual pastor of the St. Gregory the Illuminator Cathedral in  Buenos Aires (Argentina), Deputy Director of the preschool department of the St. Gregory the Illuminator educational institutions.

From 1990 to 2022 - Primate of the Armenian Dioceses of Argentina.

From 1998 to 2002 - Committee Chairman of the Christian Churches in Argentina.
