Born on April 03, 1940, in Beirut, Lebanon.

Baptismal name is Armen.

Primary education - Abgaryan National College.

From 1954 to 1959 - Theological Seminary of Antelias, Beit Mery School, AGBU Hovagimian -Manougian Secondary School in Beirut.

From 1958 to 1959 - Jarankavoratz Theological Seminary of Jerusalem

From 1070 to 1974 - Catholic Institute of Paris

 

  •  Ecclesiastical titles and ordinations

 

In 1976 - Ordained to the diaconate by His Eminence Archbishop Serovbe Manoukian.

In 1968 -  Ordained as a celibate priest by His Eminence Archbishop Serovbe Manoukian.

In 1970 - Rank of Archimandrite by His Eminence Archbishop Serovbe Manoukian.

In 1982 - Consecrated as a Bishop by His Holiness Vasken I, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

In 2017 - Rank of Archbishop by His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians.

 

  • Tenure  

From 1967 to 1968 - Teacher at the Raincy School.

From 1968 to 1975 - Spiritual Pastor at the St. John the Baptist Mother Cathedral in Paris.

From 1975 to 1980 -  Spiritual Pastor at the Holy Mother of God Church in Issy-les-Moulineaux.

From 1980 to 2007 -  Vicar of the Pontifical Legate in the district of Lyon.

From 2007 to 2013 - Primate of the Armenian Diocese of France.

From 2007 to 2013 - Member of the Supreme Spiritual Council.
